Foundations of Faith
At the Vineyard we believe that children are important in God’s kingdom, not just as the future of our church, but also right now! We want them to know that Jesus loves them and that they can impact others for God. Our goal is to build a strong foundation that will sustain them throughout their lives.
Here are the classes we offer on Sunday mornings:
Childcare for newborn through 36 months is available throughout the entire worship service each Sunday. Children ages 24-36 months may also attend the preschool class according to their parent’s discretion.
Every week a class for ages 2 years up until kindergarten is available after the praise & worship portion of the service (during the sermon). This class is full of fun crafts, games, stories, and snacks – all geared to reinforce three basic truths that we want them to understand by the time they enter kindergarten/elementary school:
1) God made me!
2) God loves me!
3) Jesus wants to be my best friend!
Although the curriculum is designed for 3-5 year olds, older two-year-olds are welcome to participate as well. (Two year olds may also attend the nursery according to their parent’s discretion.)
In the Elementary class we want to see our kindergarten through 5th grade students get excited about learning God’s word! Each month we focus on a different character quality, Bible story, and memory verse.
*Please Note: Each Sunday, all children ages infant – 3rd grade, who attend Sunday morning classes, or are left in the nursery, are required to be registered and signed in/out by a parent or guardian. Children who are left in the nursery need to be registered at the nursery. All other children need to be registered at the Children’s Ministries registration table in the main lobby (preferably before worship starts at 10 AM). Families sing & worship together in the Sanctuary before children are dismissed to their classes (with the exception of those children who are in the nursery).
