In the practice portion of the class students are partnered into groups and practice putting what they’re learning to use. These groups offer an opportunity to explore a number of different contexts of ministry with the same group of people, as well as offering the students the chance to reflect and grow in the context of that community. A number of different formats of ministry are practiced to offer a well rounded experience that allows students to work in their gifting, as well as be stretched in places they may not normally minister. Practice activities are led by the local leader and include, but are not limited to:
- Power Evangelism: Using the gifts of the spirit in the context of evangelism and outreach.
- Renewal Services: Extended times of worship and prayer that offer opportunities to experience the presence and power of God.
- Healing Rooms: Minister to those in need in a personal setting.
- Group Reflection: Discuss and dialog about what you’re learning and what God is working in you.
